CAFE 59 (d.b.a. of International Rolls Plus, LLC) was established as a result of God's vision to a wonderful couple in Mandeville, Louisiana. Wil & Evelyn Vielman have been praying for a long time for God to make it possible for them to be able to work together as they get older. Since the early years of their marriage, they have always been praying for the fulfillment of their dream - to be able to feed the needy and help Christian missionaries in all parts of the world --- whether its through their services or financial help. Since Wil & Evelyn raised four (4) beautiful children { Lester / Melodee / Jerome / Arvin } and they never had the resources to fulfill their God-inspired dream, years went by and they were able to share very little of what they have, most especially in terms of finances!
In September 2003, Wil suffered a big cut in pay from his job which resulted in more hardship and inability to continue giving help to the missionaries and others in need. Because of their concern that they will not be able to continue to give financial help, they prayed really hard for God to give them the vision on what they can do to generate another source of income so that they can continue their giving, and also be able to put some money back in their budget to pay their bills.
One morning in September 2003, God gave Evelyn a vision! At around 4:00a.m., she saw herself making some kind of "egg rolls" - thousands of them! With their very strong faith in the Lord, both Wil & Evelyn took that vision as a message from God ~ they prayed really hard for His guidance & provision, and most of all, that their obedience to God will bring more glory to His Name! They immediately put their ideas together (Evelyn, being from the Philippines and Wil, from South America)! With Evelyn's knowledge of traditional Philippine recipes and Wil's love for cooking --- they started putting together recipes from different countries, spiced them up with their mixture of special seasonings, and produced them as fillings for their "gourmet egg rolls" --- As a result of their prayers and dedication to their God-inspired vision --- they formed International Rolls Plus, LLC - and humbly accepted the challenge of running God's business because of their strong faith that God will continue to bless them so they can be blessing to others!
After a year and half of IRP's existence, Ellen Arce (Evelyn's college friend), joined International Rolls Plus' team bringing with her the great contribution of her expertise as an Advertising Commercial Producer in the Philippines.
Through lots of prayers / research / sharing of ideas with each other, International Rolls Plus' existence started spreading all around the area. With the help of the many wonderful people at Church of the King, IRP found its place of operation in the City of Mandeville {our special thanks to Bruce Cameron and his family}. Cafe 59 / IRP is now recognized both in the Northshore and Southshore area as caterer of the uniquely-created "gourmet egg rolls" and will continue to produce new variety of 'rolls from different countries of the world to add to its menu!
Wil & Evelyn's life changed tremendously right after Hurricane Katrina! They both became jobless after the disaster. In spite of so many people that told them to sell food in New Orleans where they could have made a lot of money (since there was "NO" place to eat at all after the hurricane), Wil & Evelyn prayed for God's direction: to make money for their survival since they were both jobless, or help the disaster victims who are desperately in need of food. Their lack of resources did not stop them from doing what they felt the Lord wanted them to do --- they decided to volunteer their time and little money for gas in feeding the hurricane disaster victims. Through the help of the American Red Cross providing them food which were cooked & prepared by a group of volunteers from Baptist Churches all over the nation, they were able to feed more than 500 people each day: Monday-Thursday right in the heart of the devastated area of Canal Boulevard in New Orleans.

They set up tables right in front of St. Luke's United Methodist Church on Canal Street where they served about 500+ meals per day to the disaster victims and the workers who were clearing the debris all around them. Their business partner, Ellen Arce, joined them in the feeding immediately after her relocation to Mandeville in October. Thanksgiving Day 2006 was the last day of their volunteer work for the disaster victims since the American Red Cross could no longer provide them with the meals. They believed - that was the term of their divine assignment, and it was time to move on.

After 3 months of praying and trusting that God has the best plan for their lives, CAFE 59 opened its doors in Mandeville right in the heart of the busy Highway 59! Through the collective effort of their church-family at Church of the King and lots of friends who have been praying for them, this "CHRISTian-atmosphere Hang-Out" became a meeting place for so many. Miracles after miracles have been happening in this "Blessed Hang-Out"! Wil's "Caribbean Grits" and "Baja Fish Taco" has been the talk of the town since then. In the restaurant, you will experience hospitality from the entire crew, while being in a very peaceful atmosphere that plays Christian music all day long!

Catering is one of the biggest part of IRP's business - one closest to their heart is their catering job every weekend at their home church (COTK) where they serve a light dinner to 75 (sometimes even 100) church crew on Saturday night and breakfast on Sunday morning. A few of the functions that IRP has catered for Church of the King are: Creative Edge Dinners, Ballet Magnificat Easter Dinners, PRC Compassion Events, and Praise & Worship Team Fellowship dinners.
In November 2007, Evelyn was approached by some parents from nearby schools and she was asked if Wil & her can possibly cook "hot meals" for the families around the neighborhood. They currently have at least a dozen hot dishes that people can pick-up, "READY-TO-EAT" for supper. They now also carry a list of catering items for gatherings, parties, and football game party platter specials. Stop by and experience something different in this blessed hang-out!
